Rapid Truth Recording in Studio & Out
Although recording in a studio is preferable, I’ve opted to start using a high-quality voice recorder so that I can take it to Preah Vihear province and record the storytellers on-site instead of getting them to come to Phnom Penh. We still had the problem of finding a location in Preah Vihear with minimal disruptive noise. The solution was to record in a guesthouse bedroom with air-conditioning. I’ve lost count of the number of times people have asked me for the Rapid Truth evangelism stories we developed several years ago. I was always sorry to disappoint them because we still hadn’t managed to get them recorded. Now the recording has begun! Over the 3-day Water Festival holiday in November, I was able to assemble my new team of Cambodian storytellers and begin the recording process.
